American Legion Americanism Award Recipients

On March 15, 2015 The American Legion Auxiliary, Green Ridge Memorial Unit 926 honored 18 local students with the prestigious American Legion Americanism Award. Students from all over the nation in grades 3 thru 8 were invited to submit essays describing ““What Freedom Do I Enjoy Most?”. Locally essays were reviewed by the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 926 who selected 3 members of each age group to be recognized. The 1st place selection in each group advanced to the Delaware County Council where winning entries will advance to the state level. State Rep. Stephen Barrar was on hand to congratulate our local winners.
