The Board of Commissioners is seeking volunteers to assist the Township engineer and administration to prepare amendments to the Aston Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Ordinance, and Sub-Division Land Development that will form the frame work for the implementation of the Aston Vision Plan. (See the scope of work below) It is anticipated that the initial phase of the work will begin in March and that the final documents would be considered by the Board of Commissioners at the end of 2015. Volunteers Needed – Aston Township Parks Master Plan Committee

The Board of Commissioners has established a volunteer committee to assist the Township engineer and administration to prepare the Aston Township Parks Master Plan. (See the scope of work below) The first Park Master Plan Committee meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 5th, at 7:00pm in the Aston Township Commissioners Meeting Room at 5021 Pennell Road. There will be at least three committee meetings and two (2) public meetings. Former Township Commissioner Bob Willoughby The Aston Township Board of Commissioners and the residents of the township are saddened to learn of the death of former 4th ward Commissioner Robert S. Willoughby. Our condolences go out to Bob's wife Jacque', his daughters Wendy and Jodi, and son-in law, David. Bob was appointed commissioner of the 4th ward in October 1999 when he filled the unexpired term of Commissioner Bill Welch. He was then elected and served as 4th ward commissioner until 2006.
