Wearing blue wristbands bearing the name of seven-year-old Cameron McCarthy, Aston commissioners, during a recent meeting, publicly  encouraged the community to actively join in the effort to assist the young girl who has been diagnosed with cancer. Read more

Don’t Miss Family Movie Night – Box Trolls July 24th

Our second FREE Family Movie night will be on Friday, July 24th at the Aston Township Community will feature BOX TROLLS. Family Movie Night is brought to you by the Aston Township Park and Rec Committee.

All Movie Night Events are FREE! and will begin at dusk. We will also have Food and Soft Drinks available for purchase. Anyone wishing to make a donation to help fund future movie nights me do so at the event of by contacting the Parks and Rec Committee Chairperson, Carol Graham cgraham@astontownship.net

CWA To Flush Public Fire Hydrants – July 12 – 17th

cwaThe Chester Water Authority will flush all public fire hydrants in Aston Township beginning the week of Sunday, July 12 and continuing through Friday, July 17th. The flushing will occur between 9:00 pm and 5:00 am Sunday night through Friday morning.

During this work, there could be brief ;periods when the water in the distribution system may become discolored. Distribution system water pressure may be depressed during the hydrant flushing activity. For questions, please contact Chester Water Authority at 610-876-0940

Storm Recovery Assistance – Special Branch Collection


A special notice about branch collection.

Post-Storm Clean Up Assistance – Special Branch Pickup
Public Works department will be making rounds with a wood chipper that can accommodate branches of up to 6″ in diameter to assist with clean up. Please orient the butt end of the branches toward the street. Service will continue through the month of July until all material is collected according to the following schedule:

July 20th to July 24th
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday’s Trash Routes

As of July 17th work crews are a week ahead of the original schedule for branch pick-up.
All branch curb side pick-up will be completed by July 24th.

Any other branches can be scheduled for pick-up the week of August 17th to the 21st on the regular scheduled trash day.
