red-blueAston, Pennsylvania (July 14, 2016) – The North American Hockey League’s East Division Champion Aston Rebels will be holding their second annual Blue vs. Red game on Sunday, July 24. Admission is free along with a barbecue.

The reigning East Division champions look to defend their title when the team opens main camp on Thursday, July 21. It will run through Sunday, July 24. Over 100 players will be competing for limited roster spots on a team that is determined to win the league title this upcoming season.

The Blue vs. Red game will be comprised of over 40 players who have made the final cut in which the 2016-17 Rebels team will be selected. The game will take place on Sunday, July 24 at 10am on rink 3 at the IceWorks Skating Complex.

The Aston Rebels are a Tier II American Junior hockey team located in Aston, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The team plays in the East Division of the North American Hockey League (NAHL). The primary goal of the Rebels, and the league itself, is to assist aspiring 16 – 20 year olds in their quest to achieve their goal of a better education through collegiate hockey. It is affordable fun for the entire family.

The North American Hockey League is the only USA Hockey sanctioned Tier II Junior league consisting of 24 teams in 14 states from across North America. Over 650 players from the NAHL have made NCAA commitments since 2013.
