Delaware County Medication Drop Box

The Aston Police Department recently had a medicine collection box installed in the lobby on the first floor of the municipal building. The purpose being, to provide Township residents along with the general public a safe manner in which to dispose of prescription medication(s). This project is supported by Delaware County District Attorney Jack Whelan, with the intent to equip all police department’s/municipalities in Delaware County with a medicine collection box.

Items which are accepted for collection are as follows; Prescription Medications, Over the Counter Medications, Vitamins, Drug Samples, Pet Medications, Ointments, Lotions, and Liquid Medications in leak proof Containers.

ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED FOR COLLECTION; Loose Pills, Needles, Thermometers, Bloody or Infectious Waste, Medications from Businesses, Hydrogen Peroxide, Aerosol Cans, and Inhalers.

Hours for collection will be Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Medications will not be collected after normal business hours, or during weekends.
