King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will start construction Monday, July 6, on a $2 million project to rehabilitate the structurally deficient bridge carrying Aston Mills Road over Chester Creek in Aston Township, Delaware County. The Aston Mills Road bridge is one of two bridges that PennDOT will repair under a $6,637,980 bridge improvement project. Aston Township Acquires Three Properties from County Repository

2nd Ward Commissioner Graham with members of Delaware County Council The Township has acquired three properties located in the second ward from the Delaware County repository for the sum of $122.50 each, which includes the sale price of $1 and filing fees. The properties located on Mount Road, Lenni Road and Aston Mills/Mount  Road  have been abandoned by their previous owners with no bids being received at the judicial upset sale. Cameron Come out to the Community Center this evening June 16th, from 5pm - 7pm and support Cameron McCarthy by making a donation for a #TeamCameron wristband. The entire community has been showing support for young Cameron McCarthy who has been diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. She is being treated at Nemours A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children. We know Cameron is a tough little girl and she will fight and win this battle. Help fight this childhood cancer by making a donation to the Cameron McCarthy fund.

Aston Township Stormwater Basin Summary

Over the years, stormwater management basins have been constructed throughout the Township as neighborhood development occurred.  In the intervening years, little, if any maintenance on the basins has been done.  As engineers, planners and environmentalists studied the impact that stormwater basins had on the environment, a body of knowledge developed.  This work has lead to a better understanding of the functioning of these basins and the water courses they flow into.
