Aston Township has new signs on major roads as you enter our town that say “A Community that Cares”. Late Tuesday evening, November 15, 2016, and in the days that followed, we personified that little public relations snippet more than you can imagine.  Let me tell you about it. At 11:17pm the Aston Township Fire Department was dispatched to the area of Linda Lane and Birney Highway for a building fire. 27 Aston volunteer firefighters left their home and answered the alarm.  10 mutual aid fire departments, 3 EMS and 6 police units also responded.  Our community cares. Aston Commissioners Recognize Andrew Gill on Eagle Scout Achievement

Aston Commissioners, during the October 19 meeting, recognized township resident Andrew Gill on his promotion to Eagle Scout. The son of Brian and Janemarie Gill, Andrew is a senior at Sun Valley High School. His Eagle Scout project involved planning, supervising and painting two pre-K classrooms at Holy Family Regional Catholic School in Aston. With assistance from adult scout leaders, fellow scouts, friends and family, the classrooms were painted prior to the beginning of the school year. The DCIU meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 13, 2016, has been cancelled as counsel for both DCIU and Aston Township are working on the precise details for an Agreement, which would be submitted for review by the boards of Aston Township and the DCIU. 2016 Annual Lioness Psychic Fair

The Aston Township will hold it's annual Psychic Fair on Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 5:30 PM  to 10:00 PM at the American Legion Post #926,  3220 Concord Road, Aston. Admission at the door: $5 per person which includes appetizers, desserts, soft drinks, coffee or tea. Cash bar will also be available. Cost per reading is $20. Profits benefit the Aston Township Lioness Club which in turn benefits the visually impaired and less fortunate members of our immediate and surrounding communities.
