Aston Commissioners, December 17, presented proclamations and plaques to township residents Kyle Andreoli-Brown and Andrew Higgins on the event of their earning the rank of Eagle Scout.

Kyle Andreoli-Brown, Eagle Scout

Kyle is the son of Dawn Andreoli and Karen Brown. He is currently a senior at Sun Valley High School where he is a commanding officer in the school’s Marine Corps JRROTC program. He also is a member of the track and swimming teams, elite choir and the football team.

Kyle, a member of Troop 292, is the recipient of a multitude of merit badges. In addition, he earned leatherwork, IndianLore, wilderness survival, art and pioneering, safe swim defense, safety afloat, weather hazards, physical wellness and the prevention of harassment and discrimination badges.

Kyle has served the troop in a number of leadership positions, including senior patrol leader, assistant patrol leader, and quartermaster.

His Eagle project was comprised of painting the exterior of the Green Ridge Fire House. He planned, organized and led a group of adult leaders, fellow scouts, friends and family over a weekend period for a total of 333 service hours.

Andrew Higgins

Andrew Higgins, Eagle Scout

Andrew is the son of Drew and Dawn Higgins and is also a member of Troop 292. He is a 2014 graduate of Sun Valley High School and is currently attending Millersville University where he is pursuing a degree in communications/broadcasting.

While at Sun Valley, Andrew participated in the senior variety show, and was a member of the ultimate Frisbee club. He also plays guitar and records music.

In addition to the required badges, Andrew earned badges in chess, music, mammal study, electronics, nature, public speaking, radio and textiles.

He served his troop in various leadership positions, including senior patrol leader and assistant patrol leader.

For his Eagle project Andrew constructed 12 birdhouses. He designed and built the birdhouses while leading a crew of adult leaders, fellow scouts, family and friends.

The birdhouses are located in several Aston Township parks.
