Care Packages For Veterans

Care Packages For Veterans

The Aston Township Parks and Recreation Committee along with the Rockdale Art Center will be collecting care packages for veterans for the third year in a row.  Donations will be accepted beginning November 1st and ending December 7th.  Drop-off locations are located at the Aston Township Community Center, 3270 Concord Road and The Rockdale Art Center, 2551 Mount Road. The care packages will be delivered to the Veterans Administration Hospital in Coatesville, Pennsylvania during the week of December 8, 2018.
The following list of items are what is being requested for the care packages (please note 25% of infirmed veterans are woman):

Personal Hygiene: Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Shower Gel, Shampoo, Brush/Comb, Lotion, Deodorant.

Aston Township Fire Department Open House

Come out and join the Aston Township Fire Department on Thursday October 25, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. as they hold their open house and celebrate Fire Prevention Week! This event will be rain or shine and held at 2900 Dutton Mill Road. This year will also be the first year a Trunk or Treat will be included so be sure to wear your costumes! They will be doing Fire Truck Demonstrations/Tours, Ambulance Tours, Chip the Fire Dog, Escape Planning and more!!! If you have any questions please contact 610-494-6771.

Sun Valley High School Fall Craft Fair

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the Sun Valley High School Fall Craft Fair! This is a great event to do some holiday shopping and support our Parent Teacher League as well as local crafters and vendors. All profits go towards scholarships for our students as well as student events and donations.
