Winter Is Here

Winter is here and the Public Works Department would like to remind you to stay safe.  During and immediately after a winter storm, the easiest way for us to keep the roads clear and drivable is for you to stay off them until we get them cleared.  If you do need to drive during a storm please exercise extreme caution.

Snow removal and winter storms can be tough on everyone.  Please don’t forget your neighbors.  If you are able, make sure you offer them help.  Always check in on your elderly neighbors to make sure they are okay.  Cooperation and lending a helping hand go a long way in making a great community.

2011 Tree Lighting & Winter Fun Festival

2011 Tree Lighting & Winter Fun Festival

The 2011 Tree Lighting was a huge success thanks to the extra efforts of the Citizen’s Advisory Committee and the donation of time and resources from local businesses and residents! This year’s event was expanded to include Free family friendly game and activities, snacks, and a visit from Santa. The Library also added to the fun by inviting Mr. Malcom to read The Polar Express.

Perhaps most significantly, the event was moved to a Friday evening, which organizers suspect encouraged a much greater turnout than in years past. Thanks to all who donated their time and resources to make this event so successful. We look forward the new Tree Lighting and Winter Fun Festival format to be used again in 2012!
