The Aston township Building and Code department has been revamped to help better support you the residents. The restructuring of the department has allowed for township employees to spend more time out in the community checking up on permits, getting to know the contractors, residents, and developing a working relationship with the community. Spring is here and with that comes the first line of defense versus the spread of the West Nile Virus. In Aston Township we see this first line of defense being simple property maintenance. PECO is urging customers to be aware of a scam that continues to target customers in the Philadelphia area. The scam, which has been reportedly taking place throughout the country, claims that customers are behind on their account and must make immediate payment to avoid service termination. Customers are being asked to purchase a pre-paid debit card, in random amounts, from local pharmacies or convenience stores. The customer is then directed to contact a number to utilize the card for immediate payment to their account. Upcoming April 2013 Events at Neumann University The Cultural Arts Forum’s Annual High Tea The ladies of the Cultural Arts Forum at Neumann University will host their annual High Tea on Sunday, April 14, at 2 p.m. at the Austin Room on 3729 Chichester Avenue in Upper Chichester, PA. 2013 Township Calendar

Weekly Recycling Continues in 2013


The Aston Township Board of Commissioners is proud to announce that the Township will continue with weekly recycling pickup for 2013. The choice was made after the numbers for Single Stream Recycling have increased drastically month over month and year over year. Recently the County of Delaware Office of Housing and Community Development announced the availability of Community Development Block Grant applications for the 2013 program year. To have your application considered it must be received in full no later than 4:30pm, January 9, 2013 by the office. Happy Thanksgiving!!!


This week the Aston Township Administrative offices and the Public works department will be closed on Thursday, and Friday for the Thanksgiving Holiday.  Trash, Recycling, and Bagged Leaf Schedule. Monday, November 19, 2012 - All Monday and Tuesday routes will be picked up. Tuesday, November 20, 2012 - All Wednesday and Thursday routes will be picked up. Wednesday, November 21, 2012 - All Friday routes will be picked up.

FALL IS RECYCLE TIME.  It’s time to switch our spring/summer wardrobe to fall/winter duds. AND, there’s no better time than now to get rid of those clothes we haven’t worn for “years.”  With 3, that’s right 3, establishments right here in Aston disposing of those clothes in a manner that benefits others as easy as, well, 1 – 2 – 3.
