The schedule for tours are Tuesdays—May 26, June 30, July 28, August 18 and September 22, 2015, from 1-3 P.M. StreetScape Project About To Get Underway!

The Aston Township StreetScape Project is about to get underway along a 0.8-mile stretch of Pennell Road between Concord Road and Duttons Mill Road.  The work will include sidewalk and curb ramp installation/improvements, pedestrian level lighting, landscaping, and landscaped center medians.  The improvements will contribute to increased mass transit ridership and economic development by creating a pedestrian-friendly environment and  connecting a variety of land uses including residential, commercial, office, institutional and recreational.  The improvements implemented along Pennell Road will serve as guidelines to implement similar improvements along Concord Road and Duttons Mill Road as future projects. Clothing Drive Fundraiser for 2015 Post Prom

A Clothing Drive to benefit the Sun Valley Post Prom will be held from April 7th through April 20th. Drop off location will be the Sun Valley lobby. The Sun Valley Post Prom happens at the high school each year immediately following the Sun Valley High School Senior Prom. The event is a long standing tradition at Sun Valley designed to provide a safe and fun environment for our local young adults to celebrate after the prom. The Aston Business Association supports this event because we feel that keeping our children safe should be a top priority in any community.

American Legion Americanism Award Recipients On March 15, 2015 The American Legion Auxiliary, Green Ridge Memorial Unit 926 honored 18 local students with the prestigious American Legion Americanism Award. Students from all over the nation in grades 3 thru 8 were invited to submit essays describing ““What Freedom Do I Enjoy Most?”. Locally essays were reviewed by the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 926 who selected 3 members of each age group to be recognized. Aston Children have a Hopping Good Time at Annual Easter Egg Hunt!

Chilly weather did not deter hundreds of children from attending and enjoying the Aston Township Easter Egg Hunt, which took place March 28 on the grounds of the community center. Carrying baskets and bags of all sizes, children were separated into age groups and had a wonderful time collecting brightly colored Easter eggs. Following the hunt, participants ventured into the gymnasium where they were served refreshments and were given the opportunity to have their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny.
