Eligible projects

will save the small business a minimum of $500.00 and at least 25 percent annually in energy consumption or pollution related expenses.

Eligible Applicants

Must be a for-profit business and be taxed as a for-profit business in Pennsylvania.

Companies must have 100 or fewer employees for the entire company.

This includes all employees worldwide for parent companies, subsidiaries, branch offices, and businesses under management in common.

Only project costs incurred on or after July 27, 2015 will be eligible with the exception of a deposit to hold a project price or contractor’s commitment. Grants will be awarded based on the application post marked date, date stamp for hand delivered applications, or date *deficiency documents are received, WHICHEVER IS LATER.  *If an application is missing any required information, it will be deemed deficient, and the application will be routed through the “Deficiency Process”. The applicant will have a one-time 15 day period in which to submit corrected documentation.

Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority  (PIDA)

Companies eligible under the PIDA may apply to use this loan program for match funding of a Small Buisness Advantage Grant Project.  Formerly known as The Pollution Prevention Assistance Loan Program, applicants can apply for up to $100,000 in loan funds or 75% of the project cost, whichever is less.  The third quarter 2015 fixed interest rate for pollution prevention/energy efficiency loan funding under PIDA is 2% for a maximum of 10 year term.

PECo Smart Ideas Program

PECo’s Smart Ideas Program offers programs and rebates to companies located in their service territory.  These programs can be used in conjunction with the Small Business Advantage Grant, but rebates will reduce the “total project cost” and must be identified on the application.
