Declaration of Disaster Emergency – Coronavirus (COVID-19)

As of March 13, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. Aston Township has issued a Declaration of Disaster Emergency due to the Coronavirus- “COVID-19”. What this means is the COVID-19 Coronavirus could endanger the health, safety and welfare of a substantial number of persons residing in Aston Township, especially our senior citizens, and create problems greater in scope than the Township may be able to resolve.

DELCO Alert and New Delaware County Coronavirus Website

The Delaware County Department of Intercommunity Health Communications has established a Coronavirus (COVID-19) resource website to keep residents informed with up-to-date communication regarding the status of the virus in Delaware County.

Smiles in the Playground – Thanks To Energy Transfer

As Spring approaches Aston Township would once again like to recognize Energy Transfer for the role role they played in newly completed Smiles in the Playground project. The project was made possible by a $306,466.47 donation from Energy Transfer to help build and equip the playground. Smiles in the Playground, a handicap-accessible playground that is inclusive to all children, with a special focus on those with disabilities.

Dedicated to Fran McLaughlin, Jr.This website is dedicated in memory of Fran McLaughlin, Jr. who dedicated much of the final years of his life creating Aston Township’s first municipal website. His original banner flag retains a special place on this homepage in his honor.
