Aston Township's Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday March 28, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. sharp. There is a rain date scheduled for Saturday April 4, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. The rain date will be for the egg hunt ONLY. There is no registration required, the Easter Bunny will be available for FREE hugs and pictures. This event will be held at the Aston Township Community Center, 3270 Concord Road. Aston, Pa 19014. Come out to the Aston Township Community Center on Saturday, March 21, 2020 from 6pm to 9pm, doors open at 4:30pm. Admission is $25 and all prizes are cash prizes. In addition, there will be special games, food, bingo supplies and raffles. All proceeds go to the Aston Township Library. No one under the age of 18 will be admitted into the event.
Springbrooke Trade Center During their regularly scheduled legislative meeting on January 15, 2020, the Aston Township Board of Commissioners approved the Conditional Use Application of Springbrook Industrial, LLC. More specifically, the Board voted to approve the conditional use request under the Mixed-Use Overlay Zoning District for a proposed two (2) building flex-space facility to be located at the corner of Springbrooke Boulevard and Pennell Road. The name of the proposed 36.59-acre parcel is the Springbrooke Trade Center. As done in previous years, AARP will be helping local senior citizens with preparation of their income taxes. This will be held at the Aston Township Community Center, 3270 Concord Road., Aston, Pa 19014 on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. beginning February 1st through April 15th. Services will not be available on Monday February 15th due to President's Day. We would like residents to be aware Peco will be replacing gas lines (from main to the house) throughout the Township. Peco will be contacting homeowners directly to make arrangements for the work being completed. As they move through the Township, we will be updating residents via our website and social media which streets they will be working on. The Aston Township Parks and Recreation Committee will be holding their Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Winter Fun Festival at the Aston Township Community Center, 3270 Concord Road., on Friday December 6, 2019, beginning at 6 p.m. with Santa arriving at 6:30 p.m. There will be FREE pictures with Santa, A Magician, Aston & Pennell Elementary Chorus Groups, Crafts, Refreshments and Aston & Pennell Elementary Chorus during the event for all to enjoy!
