As chairperson of the Aston Township Parks & Recreation I would like to thank everyone who gave their time to volunteer for our very successful Easter Egg Hunt/Bunny Meet & Greet!
Special thank you to our special guests: Evelyn Spayd and Andrew Guthrie who were the stars of this great event!
Big Thank You to Co-Chairpersons of this event: Kit Spayd and Nancy Bowden, committee members Alma Carroll, Florence Fisher, Judy Kirby and Mike Reimer. All our wonderful volunteers especially: Dan & Gina Ruggieri, Bob Herre, Dave Kelso, Phyllis Bradley, Judy Persing, Maureen Dillon, Helen Morgan, Cadie Kelso and Judge Holefelder.
Our wonderful Sun Valley Honor Society volunteers led by Elaine Kaskela, Girl Scout Troop 55 with troop leader Colleen Penzone and of course Justin Henry, Manager of our local Wawa and his team, thank you very much for supporting our Hometown!
We are always so fortunate to have the support of our amazing ATFD and our fantastic Public Works Dept. especially Brian Palmore and Justin Howe.
Over 800 egg enthusiasts were on hand to hunt for 13,000 eggs!
Free pictures with the Easter Bunny were available, as were hot dogs, prizes, individual balloons, donations from Wawa, Chester Water Company and Pretzel Boyz.
It takes a lot of ideas and input by the Parks & Recreation Committee, who are already beginning to prepare for the Easter Event for 2017.
Thanks again to EVERYONE who helps to make this event the success that it has become for the residents of Aston!
