UPDATE: 12/31/2020 - Governor Tom Wolf and Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine announced that the COVID-19 limited-time mitigation orders will expire on Jan. 4, 2021 at 8:01 AM as planned. Mitigation efforts will revert to the earlier orders originally released on Nov. 23, 2020.

Replay of the Aston Township Board of Commissioners Year End Special Meeting on December 28, 2020 @ 2:00PM via Zoom, Live Online, on the Township Website and TV Channel.  Due to Governor Wolf's order to restrict public gatherings we are unable to open the Township Building for the public. We feel this will be the safest way possible to keep the residents informed as well as giving them the ability to ask questions or voice comments/concern.

2020 Holiday Decorating Contest Winners!

At the December 16th Board of Commissioners the 2020 Holiday Decorating Contest winners were announced. Prizes for First Place and Honorable Mention for each Ward were awarded. First Place Winners will receive a $100 gift certificate to Giant. Honorable Mention Winners will receive a $50 gift certificate to WAWA. Business winners received one (1) year memberships to the Aston Business Association.

SBA Offers Disaster Assistance to Businesses and Residents of Pennsylvania Affected by Tropical Storm Isaias

Pennsylvania businesses and residents affected by Tropical Storm Isaias on Aug. 4, 2020, can apply for low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration, Administrator Jovita Carranza announced. Administrator Carranza made the loans available in response to a letter from Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf on Dec. 14, requesting a disaster declaration by the SBA.

Information on Aston Township Recycling Program

Recently we have received many phone calls, emails or social media inquiries as to why recycling was not collected at your home.  As a part of the Aston Township Single Stream Recycling Program, the dump site the recycling collected is taken to DOES NOT ACCEPT ANY PLASTIC BAGS no matter the color or type.   If there are plastic bags or contaminated items (ie: pizza boxes with food remains on them) the dump site will charge the Township for the error.  Some have complained their recycling was thrown in the trash truck instead of the recycling truck; if there is any form [...]

Delco Calls for Additional COVID-19 Mitigation Strategies

During its Nov. 18 public meeting, Delaware County Council voted to pass a resolution requesting that Governor Wolf and the Pennsylvania Department of Health enact additional COVID-19 mitigation strategies. The resolution is in response to an alarming spike in COVID-19 cases throughout the county.
