It is with great sadness the Aston Township Board of Commissioners regrets to inform our residents of the sudden passing of Second Ward Commissioner, Carol A. Graham. Commissioner Graham was currently serving her eleventh year as Township Commissioner. In those eleven years the things she was able to accomplish were unmeasurable. Commissioner Graham served as the Liaison for the Parks and Recreation Committee for the past ten years, in that time her involvement included the Township’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt & Bunny Brunch, Christmas Tree Lighting and Winter Fun Festival, Summer Movie Nights as well as our Hometown Concert Series. Most recently and one of her biggest accomplishments was the completion of the all-inclusive playground located at the Community Center, a project that was near and dear to her heart. Currently, Commissioner Graham held the position of Liaison for the Aston Township Police Committee, which her family says was one of the proudest positions she held during her time serving as Commissioner.
Other accomplishments held were the Liaison for the Aston Township Library and the Liaison for the Fire Committee. Commissioner Graham was a huge supporter of the Aston Township Fire Department and was very instrumental in the consolidation of the two Aston Township companies, Aston-Beechwood (72) and Green Ridge (63). But aside from the positions held, Commissioner Graham was most happy doing whatever she could to help the residents and community of Aston Township.
Memorial gifts can be made to Aston Parks and Recreation.
