Aston Police Chief Dan Ruggieri, during the December 16 meeting of the board of commissioners, expressed appreciation to the Media Moose Lodge of Aston Township #2189 for a $2,000 donation to the department’s K-9 unit.
“Since its inception nearly eight years ago, the Aston Police K-9 Unit has operated solely on generous donations from our community,” Ruggieri said. “And, this is another great example of community support for our K-9 Unit. I am deeply touched by this act of generosity by the Moose Lodge and take great comfort that our police department is supported by such a wonderful organization.”
