The Aston Township Parks and Recreation Committee will be holding their Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Winter Fun Festival at the Aston Township Community Center, 3270 Concord Road., on Friday December 6, 2019, beginning at 6 p.m. with Santa arriving at 6:30 p.m. There will be FREE pictures with Santa, A Magician, Aston & Pennell Elementary Chorus Groups, Crafts, Refreshments and Aston & Pennell Elementary Chorus during the event for all to enjoy!  

The Aston Township Girl Scout Troop 55 will host a Pancake Breakfast and Vendor Fair on Sunday November 17, 2019 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Aston Township Community Center, 3270 Concord Road. Boy Scout Troop 292 and Cub Pack 77 of Mount. Hope Church will be participating in the national "Scouting for Food" again this year!  Our Scouts & Cubs will be collecting non-perishable food items from your front step the morning of Saturday, November 16th. The non-perishable food items we collect stay local and are used to help families in our area. Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the Sun Valley High School Fall Craft Fair! This is a great event to do some holiday shopping and support our Parent Teacher League as well as local crafters and vendors. All profits go towards scholarships for our students as well as student events and donations. There will be raffles and refreshments. Admission is free! Enjoy a wide variety of crafts including handmade crafts, gift baskets, jewelry, personalized items, woodworking, home décor, sweet treats and SO much more!!!

St. Timothy’s Church will be holding a Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  It will include homemade and creative crafts and goods, vendors ornaments, handmade items, unique gifts, face painting, baked goods, 50/50 raffle, food and drinks.  This is a free event and will be located at St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church, Rt 452 & Lamppost Road. The Aston Business and Community Expo will be held Saturday, October 5, 2019 (rain date: Saturday, October 12, 2019). The Aston Business Association will host the 18th Annual Aston Township Community Day on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 11:00AM - 3:00PM (with a rain date of  Saturday October 12, 2019.) September 21st through September 28th is Delco Arts Week throughout Delaware County! Join the Rockdale Art District on September 28th from 10am to 3pm as we celebrate the arts at our Open House. Visit the artist studios at Heron and Heron Crest Studios to view and purchase fine art; Rockdale Music on Pennell Road and Rockdale Art Center on Mount Road will also be open for family activities.  This event is free and open to the public. Come out to the Aston Township Community Center on Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 6pm to 9pm, doors open at 4:30pm.  Admission is $25 and all prizes are cash prizes.  In addition, there will be special games, food, bingo supplies and raffles.   All proceeds go to the Aston Township Library.  No one under the age of 18 will be admitted into the event.
