Conditional Use Approval Springbrooke Industrial, LLC Update – December 17, 2019

The Conditional Use Application by Springbrooke Industrial, LLC for the proposed Springbrooke Trade Center located at Pennell Road and Springbrooke Blvd., originally scheduled for consideration at the Board of Commissioners meeting on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 has been postponed. The postponement will give the Board additional time to review the application, as well as the issues and concerns raised by residents during the conditional use hearing on December 11, 2019. The Board is now planning to consider the application for approval at their Board of Commissioners Meeting on Wednesday, January 15, 2020.

Community Ribbon-Cutting Honors ‘Smiles in the Playground’

Aston Township officials and representatives from Energy Transfer recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to welcome children and families to the newly completed Smiles in the Playground, a handicap-accessible playground that is inclusive to all children, with a special focus on those with disabilities.

BOC Announces Opening of Bids for Newsome Tract Stormwater Management Project

Aston Township Board of Commissioners officially announces the opening of bids for the revitalization of the Newsome tract located at the intersection of Weir Rd. and Blackthorne Lane. The project will include beutification improvements and stormwater management controls to alleviate area flooding.

Christmas Tree Lighting & Winter Fun Festival

The Aston Township Parks and Recreation Committee will be holding their Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Winter Fun Festival at the Aston Township Community Center, 3270 Concord Road., on Friday December 6, 2019, beginning at 6 p.m. with Santa arriving at 6:30 p.m. There will be FREE pictures with Santa, A Magician, Aston & Pennell Elementary Chorus Groups, Crafts, Refreshments and Aston & Pennell Elementary Chorus during the event for all to enjoy!

As done in the past, Commercial Maintenance Inspections (formally Commercial Life Safety Inspections) will be completed for businesses throughout the Township to make sure they are complying with various items for safety purposes, this is the responsibility of all business owners.  The forms used and items inspected can be found here or on the code department portion of the website under commercial forms.  If you should have any questions regarding this process, please contact the code department at 610-494-0384.

Aston Girl Scout Troop 55 Pancake Breakfast & Vendor Fair

The Aston Township Girl Scout Troop 55 will host a Pancake Breakfast and Vendor Fair on Sunday November 17, 2019 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Aston Township Community Center, 3270 Concord Road. Aston, Pa 19014.  Enjoy a delicious all you can eat breakfast and get a jump start on your holiday shopping.  The cost for breakfast will be $10 for an adult and $7 for children, all children under 2 will be free.  The shopping portion will stay open until 1 p.m. and will feature vendors from Thirty-One, Color Street, Lularoe, Doterra Essential Oils, Beauty Counter, Nuskin, Pampered [...]
