Aston’s Thimble House on DIY (HGTV)

Thimble House - 816 Tryens Rd. The Thimble house located at 816 Tryens Road will be featured on television, 10:30 p.m., Wednesday on DIY (HGTV), channel 121 on Comcast, channel 167, 667 on Verizon. The episode titled “Stone House Revival” will feature carpenter Jeff Devlin restoring the basement of one of the oldest houses in the area. The Thimble House is a 1684 home owned by Scott and Janet Hinman. Jeff will create two bar areas, a sitting area, and he will restore the home's mudroom and entryway.

Photo by Loretta Rodgers Aston Commissioners, during the April 20 meeting, presented longtime township residents Dennis and Carol Cannon with a proclamation in recognition of their 50th wedding anniversary. The Cannon’s were married on April 16, 1966 at Holy Saviour Church in Linwood and immediately moved to their home on Aston Mills Road- the very home that Dennis’ mother and step-father built.
