Aston Township Commemorates September 11, 2001 with Solemn Ceremony

By Loretta Rodgers Patriot’s Day 2014 The Aston Township community gathered Sept. 11 at the Memorial Gardens at Five Points to honor and remember those who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Hosted by Township Boy Scout Troops 225 and 292, Girl Scout Troop 57075 and members of American Legion Post #926, the program included speeches, dedication of a wreath, readings, and memorials. Need A Smoke Detector? The Green Ridge Fire Company has received a supply of Kiddie brand smoke detectors and has offered to provide them to any Aston resident at no cost. To ensure proper installation and function, a  Green Ridge volunteer will even show up and install the detector for FREE!
