The format of the proposed budget is a significant departure from prior years budgets in that it provides the 2022 budget in the framework of a multi-year budget.  The budget is also structured with a number of different funds to provide the Board and public with easy to understand information.

The 2022 budget is a balanced preliminary budget that covers the existing police contract and the three (3) percent increase for the administration and public works staff.

Below are the total expenses for the following departments:

General Operating: $ $12,382,179.00

Debt Service: $489,163.00

Public Works: $1,273,687.00.

Fire: $349,367.00

A large portion of our increase comes from the Delaware County Solid Waste Authority increasing their fees to dispose of trash, a breakdown and the letter from the DCSWA can be found in the preliminary budget presentation.  Their rates will be increasing 35% from the 2021 rates of $58/ton to $78/ton, the Township was notified of this increase just 3 days AFTER the election.  Due to this increase, we are unfortunately forced to increase the service fee per household from $269 to $279.
