The Board of Commissioners and Aston Township would like to congratulate Abby Seasock and Vince DeAngelo on receiving the 2019 William “Butch” Ryan Distinguished Student Scholar Athlete Award! Below is a little information on Abby & Vince along with some of their achievements and recognition!
Abigail Seasock- Sun Valley High School-Multiple Sports
Abigail attends Sun Valley High School and is the daughter of Bernie and Tina Seasock. Growing up in Aston, Abby played many years of youth sports including, Aston AA Basketball, Aston AA Softball, St. Francis de Sales CYO Basketball and Aston Youth Soccer. Additionally, she has played 7 years of AAU basketball, 4 years of Aston Travel Soccer and club lacrosse with the Brandywine Majors. Abby maintains a 3.57 weighted GPA and is a Distinguished Honor Roll Recipient. Abby is three sport varsity athlete at Sun Valley High School, serving as captain of the Girls’ Lacrosse, Basketball and Soccer teams. Abigail’s Athletic Recognition and Awards include:

Abby has verbally committed to play Division II Women’s Lacrosse at Shippensburg University in the fall where she will major in Exercise Science.
Vincent DeAngelo -Sun Valley High School- Multiple Sports
Vincent attends Sun Valley High School and is the son of Paul and Michele DeAngelo. Vincent played many years of youth sports while growing up in Aston. These include Aston AA Basketball, Aston Valley Baseball, St. Francis de Sales CYO Basketball and Baseball, and football for St. Thomas the Apostle. In addition, he has played 2 years of AAU basketball and is in his 4th year of CYO Volleyball. Vincent maintains a 4.44 weighted GPA and is a distinguished Honor Roll Recipient. Vincent is also a member of the National, Math, and Spanish Honor Societies. Vincent is a two sport varsity at Sun Valley High School serving as captain of the Boys’ Basketball team. Vincent’s Athletic and Recognition and Awards include:

○ 2018-2019 Led team to District 1 5A Championship
○ 2018-2019 Led team to first PIAA States win in school’s history
○ 1000 Point scorer

Vincent’s Community Activities and Service include:

● Participation in the National Assessment of Educational Progress
● Various other Community Service through National Honor Society
Vincent has not yet decided where he will go to college. He plans to play Basketball at the collegiate level and major in Business.
