Message from Road Foreman Russ Palmore

2013-12-10T11:57:32-05:00

As we get deeper into the winter months the removal of snow from our sidewalks and streets become more and more of a priority.  Aston Township has prided itself for many years in having a top notch dedicated Public Works Department that go out no matter what conditions are thrown in front of them.  They are out working hard while most of us are sleeping.  It is during those waking hours, however, that we must do our part.  It is imperative that individuals remove the snow and create a safe walkway on all sidewalks.  For best results individuals should shovel often [...]

Aston Recycling Effort

2013-10-26T16:39:18-04:00

Environmental awareness and sustainability have become a priority in Aston, and the recycling effort is leading the way. Recycling does help to bring in additional revenue but that is not the most important aspect of our “green” endeavor. Making the community a more sustainable and environment-friendly place is so beneficial to the township as a whole, but especially the Aston youth, who will go on to follow [...]

Spring is here and with that comes the first line of defense versus the spread of the West Nile Virus. In Aston Township we see this first line of defense being simple property maintenance. Don’t forget during your spring cleaning routine to get outside! Spending just a little time outside caring for your property can go a long way in stopping the spread of West Nile Virus.   Cleaning up your stuff! Items left outside can collect rainwater. Message from PECO

2013-10-26T16:49:44-04:00

PECO is urging customers to be aware of a scam that continues to target customers in the Philadelphia area. The scam, which has been reportedly taking place throughout the country, claims that customers are behind on their account and must make immediate payment to avoid service termination. Customers are being asked to purchase a pre-paid debit card, in random amounts, from local pharmacies or convenience stores. The customer is then directed to contact a number to utilize the card for immediate payment to their account. Once the information is provided to the scammer, the funds on the card are removed. “We [...]
