As of March 13, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. Aston Township has issued a Declaration of Disaster Emergency due to the Coronavirus- “COVID-19”. What this means is the COVID-19 Coronavirus could endanger the health, safety and welfare of a substantial number of persons residing in Aston Township, especially our senior citizens, and create problems greater in scope than the Township may be able to resolve.

Township residents are probably aware of the Coronavirus outbreak which first appeared in China and has now reached our shores. This virus, known as COVID-19, causes respiratory illness with symptoms ranging from mild to severe. Symptoms can include Fever, Cough, and Shortness of Breath and may appear anywhere from 2-14 days after exposure. Residents can reduce their risk of infection by doing the following: FREQUENT washing of hands with soap and water. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
