2nd Ward Easter Egg Hunt was a great success, as expected. After first postponing due to the threat of bad weather, the rescheduled event went off without a hitch on Saturday the 26th and the weather could not have been better.

Aston Children Hop into Easter

More than 500 excited Aston children gathered on the field behind the Community Center on March 19 to participate in the township's annual Easter Egg hunt. Carrying brightly decorated baskets, bags and buckets, the children spent little time collecting the 13,000 Easter Eggs which dotted the field. Aston Township 1st Annual Holiday Decorating Winners Announced

The Aston Township Parks and Recreation Committee in conjunction with the township board of commissioners, is pleased to announce the first place and honorable mention winners in the inaugural township holiday decorating contest. The holiday decorating contest ran through December 20 when teams of impartial judges were dispersed throughout each ward in the township to determine this year's winners. Two residences in each ward were selected to receive a first place award of a $100 gift card to Giant Market and honorable mention winners received a $50 gift card to Wawa.

The meeting will be held in the Commissioner's Meeting Room in the Aston Township Municipal Building located at 5021 Pennell Road. The meeting is open to the public. Aston Welcomes the Holidays With Tree Lighting and Winter Festival

by Loretta Rodgers. More than 500 Aston residents attended the township’s annual tree lighting and winter festival, which took place December 4 at the community center. Prior to the lighting of the township Christmas tree, songs of the season were performed by the Aston and Pennell Elementary Choirs. After the tree was lit, Santa Claus made his grand entrance riding high above an Aston Township fire truck. The winter festival, which was held inside the community center gymnasium, was organized by the township recreation committee and featured a magician, arts and crafts, ornament making, puppeteer, visits by Mickey and Minnie Mouse, [...]
