At the Board of Commissioners meeting on September 21, 2022 a presentation was given by Commissioner Dougherty in regards to the ongoing acquisition of 43 acres of land from the Sisters of Saint Francis.  The presentation can be found here, it will show the project from beginning to its current status as well as the funding contributions from grants as well as other contributors. Community Center Pickelball/Basketball Schedule Update

As some of you may know the Aston Township Community Center is currently hosting Pickleball and Basketball for Aston residents. The following schedule will be followed from September 3rd thru October 31st! STARTING 9/3 THRU 10/31 MONDAY, 9A-4P TUESDAYS, 9A-12:30P WEDNESDAY, 9A-3P THURSDAY, 9A-2P FRIDAY, 10A-4P SATURDAY, 10A-4P CLOSED:    9/13, 9/14 ,9/26, 9/27, 9/28 10/4, 10/5, 10/14,10/19, 10/22, 10/23, 10/24. PARTICIPANTS MUST BE 18 & OVER AND SHOW PROOF OF ASTON TOWNSHIP RESIDENCY.

Peco Subcontractor – Miller Pipeline Completing Meter Changes

Miller Pipeline has been in contact with Aston Township to let us know they will be doing subcontractor work for Peco.  Miller Pipeline will be contacting Peco customers in the near future to schedule appointments to replace their gas meters as well as the bar the meters are mounted on. If you have any questions regarding the work that will be completed, please contact Peco customer service at 800-494-4000.

Pickleball & Basketball Available at the Community Center!

Aston Township Community Center has opened its doors for all Aston residents 18 and above with proof of identification, to participate in pickleball and basketball.  The Center will be providing the necessary equipment for basketball while the pickleball equipment needs to be self-provided.  There will be no outside basketballs permitted in the gym.  Half of the gym will be set up for basketball while the other side will have two (2) pickleball nets (provided).

At the December 15, 2021 the final 2022 budget was presented to the public by Commissioner John Dougherty.  The budget will be voted on at the Aston Township End of the Year Special Board of Commissioners Meeting scheduled for December 30, 2021 at 3 p.m.  This meeting will be held at 5021 Pennell Road. Rockdale Arts District Overlay Approved

The Rockdale Arts District was unanimously voted into the Aston Township zoning code at the Board of Commissioners meeting on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.  Thank you to Commissioner John Dougherty and the rest of the committee that worked diligently together for over a year from fruition to finalization, making the Art District possible.  Aston Township looks forward to seeing all of the amazing and beautiful things the Art District will bring to our already great Township.
