In Remembrance of 2nd Ward Commissioner Carol A. Graham

2021-03-08T17:23:58-05:00

It is with great sadness the Aston Township Board of Commissioners regrets to inform our residents of the sudden passing of Second Ward Commissioner, Carol A. Graham.  Commissioner Graham was currently serving her eleventh year as Township Commissioner.  In those eleven years the things she was able to accomplish were unmeasurable.  Commissioner Graham served as the Liaison for the Parks and Recreation Committee for the past ten years, in that time her involvement included the Township’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt & Bunny Brunch, Christmas Tree Lighting and Winter Fun Festival, Summer Movie Nights as well as our Hometown Concert Series.  Most [...]

Information on Aston Township Recycling Program

2020-12-27T19:36:00-05:00

Recently we have received many phone calls, emails or social media inquiries as to why recycling was not collected at your home.  As a part of the Aston Township Single Stream Recycling Program, the dump site the recycling collected is taken to DOES NOT ACCEPT ANY PLASTIC BAGS no matter the color or type.   If there are plastic bags or contaminated items (ie: pizza boxes with food remains on them) the dump site will charge the Township for the error.  Some have complained their recycling was thrown in the trash truck instead of the recycling truck; if there is any form [...]

Township Leaf Bag Collection to Resume

2020-12-27T19:37:06-05:00

Recently it had been released that due to the unfortunate closing of the Delaware County Compost Farm, Aston Township would be unable to continue it's leaf collection as we had nowhere to take what would be collected.  Fortunately for us, Aston's own Mulch Express located on Crozerville Road. has stepped up and taken over the Compost Farm so it can remain open!  The Township will be returning to its normal leaf bag collection.  As done in the past leaf bags are available for purchase on the second floor of the municipal building during regular business hours.  The bags are being sold [...]
