Aston Township wishes to advise the residents affected by the on-going construction in the area of the Vo-Tech that we are aware of your concerns. We are working with Commissioner Graham to address these issues. Residents should also be aware that Emergency Services including Police, Fire and EMS response should not be affected by the construction.
Beginning Monday, August 27 until approximately mid-November, Lenni Road will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians 24 hours a day from below Station Lane to below the Chester Creek Trail. As part of SEPTA’s Elwyn-to-Wawa Service Restoration Project, crews will be replacing and upgrading the Lenni Road rail grade crossing and regarding the approaching roadway to improve sightlines. Governor Tom Wolf announced today that the firehouse, formally known as Green Ridge Fire House, now Aston Township Fire Department in Aston, Delaware County, will use new state funding to quadruple the size of its fire house enabling it to better provide the services necessary to keep members of the local community safe. As part of the Birney Highway and Crozerville Road Roundabout, Aston Township is giving notice that the entire intersection will be closed due to the installation of the roundabout. Work is scheduled to commence on or before Wednesday, August 8, 2018 and it is anticipated that the road will be closed for 4 to 6 weeks. Please click here for a detailed detour map.
It is with deepest regret and sympathy that we inform the residents of Aston Township of the sudden passing of Commissioner James W. McGinn. As reported during the Board of Commissioners Meeting on Wednesday, June 20, 2019, the following is a land development update: Lanni/820 Tryens Road LLC: Developer has made application to construct five single family residential units in the R2 Medium Density Residential District at 820 Tryens Road in the Third Ward. This parcel of land is 1.792 acres. The district requires a minimum of 10,000 square feet per unit.
