Hometown Concerts & Movie Nights Are Back!!!

You’re invited to come out and enjoy an evening of outdoor concerts or movie nights this summer held at the Aston Township Community Center.  The events are rain or shine with the option of using the Community Center Gymnasium in the event of inclement weather.  Lawn chairs are welcome and every concert is $1 dog night!!  Concerts are set to begin at 7 p.m. and Movie Nights will begin at dusk.  We look forward to seeing everyone there!!! Commissioners Meeting Date Changes for June 2019

Due to a Commissioners conference being held during the week of the monthly Commissioners meeting, the Work Session meeting as well as the Commissioners meeting have been moved up one (1) week in the month of June.  The dates are as follows, Work Session will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 2 p.m. and the Commissioners meeting will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 7 p.m.  We apologize for any convenience this may cause residents.

Installation of Lights at Weir Park

The Township has received the voting ballots that were to be sent back by March 11th in regards to lights being installed on the Majors field at Weir Park.  After calculating the ballots it has been decided by the residents votes that the lighting project has passed.  The second round of the project will be to design where the lights will be placed, cost of purchasing and also exploring funding options. Chester Creek Phase II Update

Aston Township and Commissioner Bowden would like to inform residents that the County has engaged Wilson Consulting Group and their subcontractor Skelly and Loy to complete all necessary design, engineering and permitting for Phase II of the Chester Creek Trail.  This next segment of the trail will run from the end of the existing trail at Creek Road for approximately 1.5 miles south to a point at or before Bridgewater Road. The following land development project are now active: Burger King Demolition and Taco Bell Rebuild The franchise owner of the Aston Burger King located at 5012 Pennell Road appeared before the Aston Township Zoning Hearing Board on January 22, 2019 and was granted variances to the ordinance for free standing signs, the number and size of menu board signs, the number of building signs and the number of parking spaces.
