New Fire Station The Township is moving forward with plans for the new Fire Station at 2900 Dutton Mill Road as an expansion of the current building. We would like to thank State Senator Tom Killion for his assistance in getting a $1 Million grant from the Commonwealth toward construction which could start in the spring of 2019. In accordance with the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, land development plans have been filed with Aston Township and the Delaware County Planning Commission. The Aston Township Board of Commissioners is soliciting proposals for a service provider for the Aston Township Defined Benefit Police Pension Plan. Custodial services shall include, but not be limited to, providing secure possession, investment placement, reporting and distribution of pension assets. Complete details of the procedures for this RFP, including the submission of all required disclosures under Act 44 of 2009, are found on the attached link. It has been brought to our attention residents concerns regarding movement at the site of the Grace Property on Pennell Road. Be advised, we are aware of this movement and it is NOT the project moving forward. The property owner is cutting down some quality trees without disturbing the soil or removing stumps. The work currently under way on Pennell Road is being handled through PennDOT as a Green Light Go 50% Match Grant. The project includes the following intersections on Pennell Road – Glendale Boulevard, Knowlton Road, Lehr Boulevard, Marianville/Weir, Hall Drive, Dutton’s Mill (& Lamp Post Lane), and Springbrook Boulevard.
