Delaware County is administering the COVID-19 vaccine at the Delaware County Wellness Center in Yeadon and at the Aston Community Center.  Vaccination is by appointment only. People who live or work in Delaware County can pre-register for the COVID-19 vaccine by completing a form found on the Chester County Health Department’s COVID-19 website. Vaccines are free of charge and for people age 16 and older who live or work in Delaware County. The form can be found here: https://chesco.seamlessdocs.com/f/delcovac

Please find below the information Delaware County has updated regarding the COVID-19 vaccinations as of January 21, 2021. The Chester County Health Department has adjusted its Phase 1A populations to include individuals 65 and older and those ages 16-64 with certain underlying medical conditions. The Chester County Health Department is updating its vaccine interest forms to reflect changes in vaccine recommendations that were announced yesterday. Delaware County is currently administering COVID-19 vaccinations to Delaware County residents in the priority Phase 1A group. This group includes healthcare workers, EMS workers, residents and staff of long-term care facilities, and medical examiner and funeral staff. UPDATE: 12/31/2020 – Gov. Wolf Announces New Protective Mitigation Efforts To Expire On Jan 4th

UPDATE: 12/31/2020 - Governor Tom Wolf and Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine announced that the COVID-19 limited-time mitigation orders will expire on Jan. 4, 2021 at 8:01 AM as planned. Mitigation efforts will revert to the earlier orders originally released on Nov. 23, 2020.

Delco Calls for Additional COVID-19 Mitigation Strategies

During its Nov. 18 public meeting, Delaware County Council voted to pass a resolution requesting that Governor Wolf and the Pennsylvania Department of Health enact additional COVID-19 mitigation strategies. The resolution is in response to an alarming spike in COVID-19 cases throughout the county.

Delaware County is seeing a rise in COVID-19 cases in the county, and is approaching the highest number of outbreaks since the height of the pandemic. The recent spike in cases has resulted in Delaware County hospitals having to divert patients, longer than normal wait times in emergency rooms, and first responders and healthcare essential workers are being affected. Delaware County held a press conference to provide an update on the COVID-19 pandemic on Nov. 12 at 2:00p.m.

Residents affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic may be eligible for mortgage, rent, and utility assistance. Assistance is now available through the Delco CARES Program to qualified renters and homeowners in Delaware County who have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
