ASTON TOWNSHIP COMMUNITY UPDATE - Updated September 25, 2020 Aston Township Community Center The Aston Township Community Center will be open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. beginning October 1, 2020. Free Eye Care for Kids on Saturday, October 10, 2020 from 9:00am to 5:00pm BY APPOINTMENT ONLY! For children 17 years and under, from Philadelphia and surrounding counties, who have not had, or who have not passed, an eye screening and/or who are uninsured. Storms of August 4 and August 7, 2020 and the Impact on Aston Township

Aston Township was hit by two back to back severe storms during the week of August 3, 2020.  The storm which occurred on Tuesday, August 4th resulted from the remnants of Tropical Storm Isais and was widespread over the entire county. The storm on Friday, August 7th was more localized, with Aston and other western Delco communities hit the hardest.  The storm on Tuesday dropped 4.8 inches of rain over a 6-hour period which would be between a 50 and 100-year storm event.  The Friday storm resulted in 3 inches of rain over a 1-hour period which would be classified as [...]

Residents affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic may be eligible for mortgage, rent, and utility assistance. Assistance is now available through the Delco CARES Program to qualified renters and homeowners in Delaware County who have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Groundbreaking for New Aston Fire Department Fire House

The Aston Township Board of Commissioners and the Aston Township Fire Department will be holding the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Fire Station on Thursday, July 16, 2020.  The ceremony will take place at the site of the current fire house located at 2900 Dutton Mill Road, starting at 6:30pm.  This project is being funded by your tax dollars and a $1 million dollar grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
