ASTON TOWNSHIP COMMUNITY UPDATE - Updated September 25, 2020 Aston Township Community Center The Aston Township Community Center will be open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. beginning October 1, 2020. Aston Township was hit by two back to back severe storms during the week of August 3, 2020. The storm which occurred on Tuesday, August 4th resulted from the remnants of Tropical Storm Isais and was widespread over the entire county. The storm on Friday, August 7th was more localized, with Aston and other western Delco communities hit the hardest. The storm on Tuesday dropped 4.8 inches of rain over a 6-hour period which would be between a 50 and 100-year storm event. Due to Governor Wolf's order to restrict public gatherings we are unable to open the Township Building for the public. We feel this will be the safest way possible to keep the residents informed as well as giving them the ability to ask questions or voice comments/concern.
Residents affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic may be eligible for mortgage, rent, and utility assistance. Assistance is now available through the Delco CARES Program to qualified renters and homeowners in Delaware County who have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Aston Township Board of Commissioners and the Aston Township Fire Department will be holding the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Fire Station on Thursday, July 16, 2020. The ceremony will take place at the site of the current fire house located at 2900 Dutton Mill Road, starting at 6:30pm. This project is being funded by your tax dollars and a $1 million dollar grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
