As some of you may know the Aston Township Community Center is currently hosting Pickleball and Basketball for Aston residents. The following schedule will be followed from September 3rd thru October 31st! STARTING 9/3 THRU 10/31 MONDAY, 9A-4P TUESDAYS, 9A-12:30P WEDNESDAY, 9A-3P THURSDAY, 9A-2P FRIDAY, 10A-4P SATURDAY, 10A-4P CLOSED: 9/13, 9/14 ,9/26, 9/27, 9/28 10/4, 10/5, 10/14,10/19, 10/22, 10/23, 10/24. PARTICIPANTS MUST BE 18 & OVER AND SHOW PROOF OF ASTON TOWNSHIP RESIDENCY.
Miller Pipeline has been in contact with Aston Township to let us know they will be doing subcontractor work for Peco. Miller Pipeline will be contacting Peco customers in the near future to schedule appointments to replace their gas meters as well as the bar the meters are mounted on. If you have any questions regarding the work that will be completed, please contact Peco customer service at 800-494-4000.
April 22, 2022 As you may know, Aston Township, along with seven (7) other Delaware County communities, has initiated legal action to prevent the newly formed Delaware County Board of Health from performing certain functions provided by the Township’s own Health Department. Despite the pending legal challenge, representatives from the County have started inspections in our Township. Please note that in an Order dated April 21, 2022, the Court has granted the Township’s petition to prohibit the Delaware County Board of Health from conducting any environmental health inspections and/or licensing any food or beverage retail establishments, food stores, public or parochial [...]
You may have heard that Delaware County established a Delaware County Health Department. While their intent may be admirable, their proposed application of services to Aston Township may be far from what our Residents and Business community expect.
Aston Township Community Center has opened its doors for all Aston residents 18 and above with proof of identification, to participate in pickleball and basketball. The Center will be providing the necessary equipment for basketball while the pickleball equipment needs to be self-provided. There will be no outside basketballs permitted in the gym. Half of the gym will be set up for basketball while the other side will have two (2) pickleball nets (provided).
If you live near Pyramid Materials Quarry, you may feel the effects of blasting. These operations conduct blasting to help extract minerals from the ground. People are often concerned about the effects blasting may have on their home. Blasting may cause your home to shake. The effects of blasting may rattle windows, dishes and pictures hung on the wall. However, blasting conducted within Pennsylvania’s regulatory limits will not damage your home. The Aston Township Parks and Recreation Committee has announced the 2021 Holiday Decorating Contest winners, they are listed below and your Commissioner will be delivering your prize! The residents have gone above and beyond this year and you have all done an amazing job, picking winners was not an easy task for our judges! At the December 15, 2021 the final 2022 budget was presented to the public by Commissioner John Dougherty. The budget will be voted on at the Aston Township End of the Year Special Board of Commissioners Meeting scheduled for December 30, 2021 at 3 p.m. This meeting will be held at 5021 Pennell Road.
