Smiles in the Playground – Thanks To Energy Transfer

As Spring approaches Aston Township would once again like to recognize Energy Transfer for the role role they played in newly completed Smiles in the Playground project. The project was made possible by a $306,466.47 donation from Energy Transfer to help build and equip the playground. Smiles in the Playground, a handicap-accessible playground that is inclusive to all children, with a special focus on those with disabilities.

Township residents are probably aware of the Coronavirus outbreak which first appeared in China and has now reached our shores. This virus, known as COVID-19, causes respiratory illness with symptoms ranging from mild to severe. Symptoms can include Fever, Cough, and Shortness of Breath and may appear anywhere from 2-14 days after exposure. Residents can reduce their risk of infection by doing the following: FREQUENT washing of hands with soap and water. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. Springbrooke Trade Center Land Development Update January 29, 2020

Springbrooke Trade Center During their regularly scheduled legislative meeting on January 15, 2020, the Aston Township Board of Commissioners approved the Conditional Use Application of Springbrook Industrial, LLC. More specifically, the Board voted to approve the conditional use request under the Mixed-Use Overlay Zoning District for a proposed two (2) building flex-space facility to be located at the corner of Springbrooke Boulevard and Pennell Road. The name of the proposed 36.59-acre parcel is the Springbrooke Trade Center. Peco Gas Line Maintenance Throughout Township

We would like residents to be aware Peco will be replacing gas lines (from main to the house) throughout the Township.  Peco will be contacting homeowners directly to make arrangements for the work being completed.  As they move through the Township, we will be updating residents via our website and social media which streets they will be working on. If there are any questions regarding this project, please call the Township Building during regular business hours at 610-494-1636.

CRITICAL HOME REPAIR. The goal of the Critical Home Repair (CHR) program is to keep families across Montgomery and Delaware Counties in their homes. The program is designed for homeowners who have experienced a life change and as a result, may find themselves unable to maintain, add, or repair critical aspects of their homes. The CHR program provides low-cost, critical home repairs to prevent low-income owners from being displaced from their residences, and to protect the affordable housing stock in Montgomery and Delaware Counties.

2019 Holiday Decorating Contest Winners!

At the December 18th Board of Commissioners the 2019 Holiday Decorating Contest winners were announced. Prizes for First Place and Honorable Mention for each Ward were awarded. First Place Winners will receive a $100 gift certificate to Giant. Honorable Mention Winners will receive a $50 gift certificate to WAWA. Business winners received one (1) year memberships to the Aston Business Association.
